Requirements 

• Full version of NI Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher (the Kontakt Player works only in 15‑minute demo mode)
• Works on Windows and macOS
• Compatible with all major DAWs and VST hosts
• Playable with any MIDI controller

For best results, use a controller that allows continuous expression control—such as a breath controller, modulation wheel, expression pedal, slider, knob, or touch-sensitive sensor. These are shown in the image below and allow you to shape each note’s volume and timbre in real time.

Without an expression controller, the instruments still work, but with reduced expressive variation: each note will sound fixed in intensity, based on how it is triggered.
